What happens between your order and your container
Zheyan is a manufacturer and integrator, not a forwarding desk with a catalogue. This page is the production process, written out step by step, so you can check it against what a supplier actually tells you on a call.
We manufacture, and we say plainly what we do not make. Final assembly, configuration, customisation, calibration, burn-in, acceptance testing and crating are carried out by our own technicians at our facility in Shaoxing. The base platform, drive train, lidar and battery cells are bought from specialist partners who build them in volumes no robot assembler can match.
That division is deliberate. It is the same one used by every serious robot manufacturer, and it is why a unit leaves here with a certificate set that survives customs rather than a folder of photocopies. What we own is everything between the platform and your floor plan — the configuration, the build, the test and the service.
Shaoxing Zheyan Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 2016, holds the Zhejiang Science & Technology SME designation, and has delivered more than 1,000 units in China and in export markets.
Six stages, each with a document behind it
The point of writing this out is that every stage produces something you can ask to see. If a supplier cannot name the record for a stage, that stage is probably not happening.
Incoming inspection (IQC)
Every base platform is unpacked and checked against the purchase specification before it enters the line: chassis condition, battery state of charge, sensor inventory, firmware version. A unit that fails here goes back to the supplier, not to a customer.
Configuration engineering
Tray count, compartment layout, screen content, interface language, access control and integration points are set from the site survey. This is the step that decides whether the robot works in a 1.1 m corridor or merely looks as if it would.
Assembly and customisation
Compartment shells, trays, displays, harnesses and branding are fitted by our own technicians. Custom metalwork and exterior livery for volume orders are produced to our drawings and inspected on arrival.
Calibration and burn-in
Sensor extrinsics, odometry and drive parameters are calibrated per unit, then the machine runs a continuous burn-in cycle. Faults found at this stage cost us a day; the same fault found on your site costs you a week of operation.
Outgoing acceptance (OQA)
Each unit is run against a written checklist covering navigation, obstacle avoidance, lift integration, charging, audio, remote alerts and emergency stop. The unit is photographed at the test station where it passed.
Crating and export documentation
Custom foam crating, battery state-of-charge to transport limits, UN38.3 and MSDS paperwork, commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin are prepared in-house so the container does not wait at the port for a document.
What we do ourselves, and what we buy
Most suppliers blur this line. We would rather you knew exactly where it sits, because it tells you what we can change on short notice and what we cannot.

Three gates, not one final look
A robot that fails on your site has usually passed one inspection and failed none. We run the gate before the build, during the build and at the end of it.
Incoming inspection
Nothing enters the line uninspected. Platforms, batteries and accessories are checked against the purchase specification and logged by serial number.
In-process control
Each build stage is signed off before the next one starts. A missing tray or an unflashed firmware version is caught at the station, not at the port.
Outgoing acceptance
The finished unit runs the full acceptance checklist. No unit is crated on the strength of the previous one having passed.
Come and audit us
A trading company will send you a catalogue and a video. We will give you the address, a slot in the calendar and a technician who can answer questions about the build in front of the machine. Buyers, third-party inspection firms and freight forwarders are all welcome at the Shaoxing site by appointment.

The four questions a buyer asks first
Do you actually manufacture, or do you resell?
We manufacture and integrate. Final assembly, configuration, customisation, calibration, burn-in and acceptance testing are carried out by our own technicians at our facility in Shaoxing. We do not make the base chassis, the lidar or the battery cells — those come from specialist partners, which is standard practice in this industry and the reason our units clear certification on the first attempt.
Can we visit or audit the facility?
Yes. Buyers, inspectors and third-party audit firms are welcome at our Shaoxing site by appointment, and we will arrange a live video walkthrough for buyers who cannot travel before placing an order. Ask for the address and a proposed slot in your first email and we will confirm within two working days.
What is your production lead time?
Standard configurations ship in the lead time stated in the written quotation, counted from receipt of deposit and confirmation of the configuration sheet. Customised units and volume orders take longer because tooling and sample approval sit in front of the build. We quote the lead time as a date, not as a range.
Who issues the certificates — you or the platform supplier?
Certificates are issued per model and follow the platform, so the issuing body is the platform manufacturer or its test laboratory. What we control is that the certificate set matches the exact model and destination you are buying, and that the battery transport documents are correct for the shipment. We send scanned copies before you commit, and we do not claim a certificate the platform does not hold.
Tell us the site, and we will tell you what we can build for it
Send a floor plan, a corridor width or a photo of the loading bay. We will come back with a configuration, not a catalogue page.
