A hotel delivery robot without lift integration only serves one floor, which is rarely the floor that needs it. Before choosing a model, confirm how the robot talks to your lifts: dry contact, protocol, or a button-pressing arm. Then confirm your lift maintenance contractor will support it, in writing. This single conversation decides whether the project works.
Three things determine whether guests actually use the robot: whether it arrives quietly, whether the room phone rings before it reaches the door, and whether the compartment looks clean when the door opens. A robot that calls the room after arriving leaves the guest standing in the corridor. A sealed compartment with a visible crumb tray undermines the whole service.
Plan the loading point. Someone has to load the robot at 11 pm on a Saturday, and that person is usually the front-desk agent you were trying to free up. If the loading point is in the back office rather than beside reception, the robot will be used less than you expect.
